  • What is shocking about this? Art that evokes emotion has done what it is supposed to do and the artist has been successful. The evoked emotion doesn't have to be calm, caring, happiness ... but can be, it can also be disgust, disturbing, or any of the other emotions.

  • Remember this. It doesn't matter what your politics are, it matters to to us all. We have seen what drilling in the Gulf can do and is doing. All this session was supposed to do was let the people vote on making Oil Exploration and Drilling constitutionally banned.

  • The St Pete Times has an article this morning about how this could be quick but long remembered. If the Republicans don't let the people vote on this, they can't stop the people from voting against them in the next election. That election is close enough that this vote will still be on our minds.
